In today’s world of constant player movement, you never know when your team’s favorite player could become your new greatest rival. And it’s this opportunity that makes simple answers to questions at All-Star Weekend media sessions all the more interesting.

Things got hot for New Orleans Pelicans fans when Zion Williamson revealed his fondness for the cities he loves to travel to as a road team.

“Come on now. You know the answer to that,” Williamson told the press during an All-Star media session. “You saw the video? Don’t do that. … Dallas, honey. Dallas. Dallas is the best street city. What, of what are we talking? I would say Dallas, New York and Toronto.”

Now, now, no need for Pelicans fans to get scared. First, Williamson was asked what his favorite city on the street is, not his favorite city in general. I’m not a gambler, but I’m willing to bet that if you ask Williamson what his favorite city is in general, his answer will start with “New” and end with “Orleans.”

Second, this offseason, Williamson just signed a $193 million five-year extension that doesn’t start until next season (and could be even more lucrative if he forms an All-NBA team that season). Barring anything unforeseen, Williamson will stay (*knock on wood*).

But it’s still fun to think about the hypothetical scenario in which Williamson wants out of New Orleans. Are the Dallas Mavericks at the top of his list just because he loves the city so much? Would the New York Knicks and Toronto Raptors also have a chance of signing him?

Who knows. All we know for sure is that Williamson loves touring in the great city of Dallas.
