This year for National Love Your Pet Day, we brought you a story of artists who find inspiration in their pets. (Pablo Picasso studied Lump, a beloved dachshund; Frida Kahlo’s catalog is full of self-portraits featuring her pet monkeys and parrots.)
In December, pet owners across the country helped NPR publish a poem. Now we would love to see your pet inspired art. Have you painted portraits of your parakeet? Sketched the Schnauzer family? Make a sculpture of your gerbil? Share an image of your work with us using the form below. We’ll post a selection on NPR.org; contributors will be credited.
We will be accepting submissions until Monday, March 6, 2023.
Your submission will be governed by our terms and conditions Terms of use And Privacy Policy. As set out in the Privacy Policy, we want you to be aware that there may be circumstances in which statutory exemptions for journalistic activities or freedom of expression may override the privacy rights that you might otherwise have.
