MONTREAL — World Wrestling Entertainment and Orangeville, Ontario, the Edge native accepted an open challenge from US Champion Austin Theory in Ottawa on Monday as Monday Night Raw takes place at the Canadian Tire Center.

In a post-show press conference following Saturday night’s Elimination Chamber show at the Bell Center, Theory told media that he would openly challenge anyone on the Raw roster to face him in Ottawa.

Moments later, while speaking to the media with his wife and tag partner Beth Phoenix after their victory in the Elimination Chamber, Edge said he hadn’t fought in Ottawa in a while and wanted to take on the challenge.
Theory successfully defended his US Championship in Saturday’s Men’s Elimination Chamber Match in Montreal.
Edge and Phoenix, both WWE Hall of Famers, have come out of retirement in recent years and work sporadically for the company they both starred for in the 1990s and 2000s.
