US-based drug investment and development firm, Orange Grove Bio, has partnered with Yonsei University Health System and Pohang University of Science and Technology to strengthen South Korea’s biotechnology entrepreneurial ecosystem. Orange Grove Bio will collaborate with both universities to identify and support opportunities for company creation and drug development in the areas of oncology, autoimmune, and inflammatory diseases. The firm will also spearhead educational programming and entrepreneurial initiatives for researchers, including faculty and students, at both universities. This represents the firm’s first international collaboration and a strategic geographic expansion of its efforts to harness significant research potential outside the US. With these academic collaborations, Orange Grove Bio aims to bridge the biotechnology industries in the US and Korea.
