Chelsea have been told to keep faith in Graham Potter after Saturday’s shock defeat to struggling Southampton.
The Blues lost 1-0 at Stamford Bridge to leave them tenth in the table, with the west Londoners winning just one of their ten matches in 2023.

talkSPORT pundits Gabby Agbonlahor and Jamie O’Hara attacked Potter after the clash on GameDay Phone-In.
Former Aston Villa striker Agbonlahor has said the former Brighton boss ‘should be sacked’ after he objected to his post-match interview.
Meanwhile, former Tottenham midfielder O’Hara said Potter ‘got away with murder’ as he insisted if it was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United there would be “riots”.
Red Devils supporter and talkSPORT host Mark Goldbridge has come to Potter’s defence, urging Chelsea to stick with him, while saying he is far more qualified than Solskjaer.
Speaking on talkSPORT’s Mark Goldbridge show, the YouTuber said: “Chelsea fans listen up, I know, I’ve heard it all, I’ve seen the previous show.
“‘Potter out, Potter in, cab for Potter.’ Do you know what I think? I don’t think you can fire him.

“I really think it’s not right to spend £200million on [Thomas] Tuchel, then sacked two months later, then spent £300m on Potter and sacked a month later. That’s not how you run a football club.
He continued: “Another take that I disagree with Gabby to be fair, saying, ‘fire him for that post-match interview.’
“You talk about someone’s livelihood here, Chelsea gave him an opportunity, they gave him £300m, I think it works both ways.
“I think they have to give him the backing and the backing – Chelsea don’t win the league. I don’t think they’re going to make the top four.

“The Champions League is still there, I think what have you got to lose until the end of the season?
“You’re really not going to get into the top four race and you’re not going to win the Champions League, so what’s there to lose?
“I almost feel like if I’m a [Mauricio] Pochettino too, and no one has mentioned it, if I’m a Pochettino, I’d probably say ‘I’ll come this summer’.
“’Because you know what? If I come in now and the results are bad, the fans will call me and you will fire me as well”.
“So I think you have to give him until the end of the season there.”
He added: “I would actually say Potter is more qualified for the job than Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ever was for Manchester United.
“He won a lot of games early on, but I just think it’s so easy in life and in football to blame the manager.”
Things could get even worse for Chelsea with the Blues set to face London rivals Tottenham away from home next week.
