‘Saving Private Ryan’ star Tom Sizemore suffers from a brain aneurysm.
The actor, 61, suffered the aneurysm around 2 a.m. Saturday at his home in Los Angeles. Sizemore was admitted to hospital, his manager Charles Lago confirmed to USA TODAY.
“Tom is hospitalized in intensive care due to a cerebral aneurysm (sic),” Lago said in a statement. “He is currently in critical condition and it is a waiting situation.”
The Sizemore manager added: “His family is aware and awaiting updates.”
The actor is best known for his role as Mike Horvath in Steven Spielberg’s 1998 film “Saving Private Ryan,” starring Tom Hanks. He also appeared in “Black Hawk Down” and “Pearl Harbor” in 2001, as well as the revival series “Twin Peaks” in 2017.
