Rare sighting of pink baby elephants in Africa

The video shows an incredibly rare moment filmed in the African wilderness of a pink baby elephant swimming in a river with his family. Baby elephants are just adorable creatures, and finding a pink baby elephant takes the cuteness to a whole new level. It was on a hot day in Kruger National Park that I managed to capture this rare and unique moment in the wild. It was the middle of the day when everyone was back at camp, relaxing after their morning safari. The camp has beautiful views of a river in front and guests can lounge on the camp’s decks while watching the animals come and go. On that particular day, a huge herd of elephants came to swim in the river in front of the camp. It was incredibly hot and muggy and the elephants decided to spend some time in the river and to everyone’s amazement had a refreshing dip in the river. Suddenly someone noticed something strange among all the elephants and called me over to check. I immediately saw what the person was pointing out to me. It stood out like a brilliant glow of pink light. There it was in front of us, a pink baby elephant swimming with the rest of his family. We couldn’t believe what we saw. I immediately grabbed my camera and started filming this incredible sight. The pink baby elephant had the time of his life swimming and playing in the river with his family. I realized that we were dealing with a real albino baby elephant here, with unpigmented skin with no melanin, unpigmented eyes, and skin that was pink rather than white. Only a small number of pink elephant sightings in the African wild have ever been reported. Unfortunately, the chances of this baby elephant reaching adulthood are slim. The ruthless African sun makes survival a daily struggle for non-pigmented animals like this cute baby elephant. The sun can also cause blindness in their unpigmented eyes. Aside from all these factors, albino animals also stand out, are less camouflaged, making them much more vulnerable to predators. Luckily, this pink baby elephant is protected by a huge herd. It would really take a lot for a predator to even try to hunt down the baby pink elephant with so many big elephants to protect it which they will do. Everyone was blown away by what we saw in the middle of the day before camp, which kept us entertained and left with a memory for life.
