When host Trevor Noah was due to present the award, he invited the various superfans onto the stage.
When he saw Styles take the hardware home for him Harry’s house LP, Noah turned to Halvorsen and said, “You read it.”
Clearly stunned, Halvorsen was greeted on stage by Styles as he jumped up to collect the grand prize and give her a tight hug.

In a clip that aired during the show, Reina’s granddaughter declared that she was Style’s “number one fan.”
“If the Grammys did their job, he gets this award,” she said.
it was such a beautiful moment for him and it was even better to have all his friends around. The way Lizzo reacts is amazing. All I know is that she loves him so much. Besties 4 of all time. pic.twitter.com/B2N1yja8Ol

During an interview with Kiss 92.5 morning presenters Roz and Mocha, Reine said she “probably won’t even sleep for the next three nights.”
“I always knew in my heart he would win,” she said, per Sudbury.com. “I want to tell him what a great person he is, what a great songwriter he is and that he deserves every award he gets. He will be here for a long time.”
Styles held his new trophy in his arms, claiming there is “no ‘best’ in music…It doesn’t happen very often with people like me.”
But it was that last phrase that sparked an immediate backlash, especially since it bested Beyonce, who has yet to take home an Album of the Year in her 20-plus year career.
“To say ‘that doesn’t happen very often to people like me’ when a black woman hasn’t won this award since 1999 is crazy.” a critic stole.

“Harry said, ‘Things like that don’t happen to people like him.’ Sir, you are a white male pop star. Please. The Grammys exist for people like you,” added another.

Another observer called the viral moment “cringe.”
“To tell Harry Styles, ‘That doesn’t happen often to people like me,’ is so scary. Yes, he worked hard. Nobody can take that away from him. But read the room. Please.”
When Adele last beat Beyonce in 2017, when both were nominated for that award, Adele asked reporters after the show: “[What] does she have to do to win album of the year?”
But Reine was not moved by the looming controversy.
“I think my great-grandchildren will still listen to him,” she said to Roz and Mocha.
