Telangana chief rips KCR apart and sparks political row

Mahabubabad (Telangana):

YSRTP leader YS Sharmila said on Sunday that Telangana is India’s Afghanistan and the KCR is its Taliban.

In conversation with reporters in Mahbubabad, Sharmila said: “He (Telangana CM KCR) is a dictator, he is a tyrant, there is no Indian Constitution in Telangana, there is only KCR Constitution. Telangana is India’s Afghanistan and KCR is its Taliban.”

On Sunday, Telangana police arrested YS Sharmila for allegedly making inappropriate remarks against Mahabubabad MP and BRS leader Shankar Naik.

The police moved her to Hyderabad to avoid any public order issues in the city of Mahabubabad. They filed a complaint against her under Section 504 of the Indian Penal Code (Intentional insult with intent to cause breach of the peace) and Section 3(1)r of SC ST POA.

Addressing a public meeting, YS Sharmila allegedly attacked the MP for Mahabubabad for not keeping his promises and said: “You have made many promises to the people, which you have not kept. If you don’t keep your promises, that means you are a kojja. [castrate]“, she said at a public meeting on Saturday.

Following the incident, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) organized a protest sit-in in the district against YS Sharmila for his alleged derogatory remarks against the Mahabubabad MP.

Protesters on the road were showing their rage against the YSRTP leader by chanting the slogan “Return Sharmila” and burning the palisades and party downs.
