The congressman, who lied on his resume and has since launched a series of state and federal investigations into his financial dealings, has now been accused of sexual harassment.
A former aide filed a complaint against Rep. George Santos, RN.Y., with the House Ethics Committee on Friday. according to a copy of the complaint posted on social media.

Reports: Federal prosecutors are investigating the finances of Representative-elect George Santos
Santos has denied the allegations. Requests to Santos and Myers’ attorneys for comment were not immediately answered.
“It is an unfortunate series of events, but hopefully the matter will be dealt with by the proper authorities and not through the news media,” Myers said in a statement.

Who Filed the Sexual Harassment Report Against George Santos?
The man who filed the complaint is Derek Myers. He describes himself as a journalist on Twitter and has been listed as the editor of Ohio’s Scioto Valley Guardian.

What did Derek Myers do for George Santos?
According to the ethics complaint, Myers worked at Santos’ DC office as of Jan. 24. His duties included “answering phones, reading mail, correcting and writing to voters,” among other things. He said his title was “Volunteer” pending recruitment paperwork.
What is George Santos accused of in House Ethics’ sexual harassment complaint?
Myers wrote that Santos hit on him on Jan. 25, the day after he started volunteering. He claimed:

Santos asked Myers if he had an account on Grindr, a hookup app popular in the gay community.

While in Santos’ private office, the congressman called him “dude” and insisted that Myers sit with him on a small sofa.

Santos placed his leg on Myers’ left leg and said, “Hey mate, we’re going to karaoke tonight.

When Myers declined, “Santos took his hand and moved it down my leg into my inner thigh and then touched my groin.”

Santos then told Myers his husband was out of town that night “if you want to come over.”

Myers pushed Santos’ hand away and continued to discuss the constituent correspondence.

What else is alleged in the lawsuit against George Santos?
Myers said he was called into the congressman’s office on Jan. 30 and asked about his background as a journalist, including “matters that had already been disclosed in my discussions with hiring managers.”
On February 1, Myers said he had been informed that his job offer would be withdrawn.
The complaint also alleges that it is a violation of house ethics for Santos’ office to allow him to volunteer to “relieve paid employees from work.”

Santos has denied allegations of sexual harassment. “It is strange”, he told CNN. “Of course I deny that claim.”
