‘Galaxy S23 Ultra Powers Ridley Scott’s Latest Short Film’

TL;DR
- Director Ridley Scott has produced a short film using the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
- The film Behold is a four-minute project designed to showcase the phone’s 200-megapixel camera.
- It also shows the camera’s performance in low light conditions.
Samsung is pretty proud of the camera setup on its Galaxy S23 Ultra. It’s actually the first Samsung phone with a 200 megapixel sensor. To show exactly what it can do, tech giant Ridley Scott had the phone used to make a short film.
The director of films like “Blade Runner”, “The Martian” and “Alien” got hands-on experience with the Galaxy S23 Ultra early on. With that, Scott directed and produced a four-minute short called Behold.
The film is about a young man who finds himself in an “aggressive environment” and responds with aggression to every turn he makes. Only to later find peace from a horse he ends up letting loose in a meadow. “A dark world becomes good things with good manners,” Scott explains in the behind-the-scenes video.
If you saw Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked on February 1st, you might recognize some of the footage in this film. The company showed parts of the film during its presentation. This film not only showcases the 200 megapixel camera, but also showcases the camera’s ability to film in low light conditions.
This advertising strategy can do nothing for the average person. The average user probably won’t be able to get the same results from the Galaxy S23 Ultra as a legendary director. But since Apple tends to advertise its iPhone Pro to content creators, this stunt might be enough to convince aspiring directors out there to get an Ultra.
