“Celebrating History: Highlights from the 2023 Grammys Red Carpet”

The 65th Annual Grammy Awards have come to a close, marking the end of another year of great music – and fabulous fashion on the red carpet.

Several celebrities made history during the night’s celebrations as Viola Davis received the final award in a coveted EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony) collection. She is only the 18th person to receive the honor, joining previous winners such as John Legend, Jennifer Hudson and Whoopi Goldberg.

Beyoncé received her 32nd Grammy Award and officially broke the record for all-time wins by surpassing the 31 statues claimed by Hungarian conductor Georg Solti. Kim Petras was also the first transgender woman to win a Grammy for Best Pop Duo, along with fellow LGBTQ+ artist Sam Smith, for their song “Unholy.”

After all the prizes had been awarded and the after-parties attended, we asked Yahoo Canada Readers to crown their best and worst dressed of the night. We collected more than 30,000 votes and here’s who came out on top.

Best dressed: Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift shimmered on the red carpet in a navy two-piece dress by Roberto Cavalli. The “Lover” singer stunned readers with her look, garnering a whopping 49 percent of the votes.

Second: Adele

Although she skipped the red carpet this year, Adele’s velvet Louis Vuitton gown was a head-turner in her own right. Readers agreed when she received 18 percent of the vote.

Worst Dressed: Harry Styles

Though Harry Styles won big and beat Beyoncé for album of the year, this red carpet look was a failure for many readers. Styles took home the Worst Dressed Celebrity title with 47 percent of the vote.

Second: Shania Twain

Shania Twain’s high fashion Harris Reed suit and matching top hat did her no favors on the red carpet. Twain’s looks earned her 22 percent of the readers’ vote for the night’s worst-dressed star.
