CBSE Class 12 Political Science Exam: Moderate Difficulty Level
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has conducted the Class 12 Political Science board exam on March 20, 2023. The exam comprised 30 questions and lasted for three hours, starting from 10:30 am and ending at 1:30 pm. The questions covered a wide range of topics, including the nature of democracy, forms of government, international relations, and political parties and pressure groups.
The students found the question paper to be moderate, and there were hardly any lengthy questions. According to the students, the first 12 questions were multiple-choice questions consisting of one mark each. Questions 13 to 18 carried two marks each, while questions 19 to 23 carried four marks each. The exam also included passages and map-based questions in questions 24-26, and questions 27-30 carried six marks each.
According to Abhishek Sharma, a Political Science teacher at DPS Raj Nagar Extension, the Class 12 Political Science exam was a perfect blend of analysis, application, and memory-based questions. He praised the MCQ section, which had some critical thinking questions. Abhishek Sharma also mentioned that the question paper was in line with the sample paper shared by CBSE. The students who prepared for the exam by reading the NCERT textbooks would have benefitted.
Bhawna Grover, a Political Science teacher at MRG School, also commented on the exam’s difficulty level, saying that the question paper was easy, particularly the map-based questions. However, she cautioned that time management was crucial as some questions were tricky and required critical thinking and a deep understanding of the topics.
Overall, the Class 12 Political Science exam was well-structured and tested the students’ reasoning and thoughtfulness. The next CBSE Class 12 exam is scheduled for March 25, 2023, for Business Studies.
