NFL Star Brandin Cooks Traded to Dallas Cowboys for Draft Picks 1

Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks has been traded to the Cowboys in exchange for a 2023 fifth-round pick and a 2024 sixth-round pick, according to reports. Cooks, who has played in the NFL for nine years, spent the last two seasons at the Texans, for whom he played 13 times in 2022. He is due to earn $18million guaranteed in 2023. The trade, which NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport first reported on Sunday, will see the Cowboys strengthen their receiving ranks as they aim to reach the Super Bowl in 2023. Cooks was drafted by the Saints in 2014, and he played in New Orleans for three seasons before being traded to the New England Patriots in 2017. He played 16 times in his sole season in New England before being traded to the Los Angeles Rams, where he enjoyed his most productive season in 2018, with 80 catches for 1,204 yards in 16 games. Despite trade rumors prior to last season, Cooks signed a two-year contract extension in Houston worth $39.6m, with $36m guaranteed. Cooks is also the first player in NFL history with more than 1,000 receiving yards in three consecutive seasons with three different teams.
