JB Somers Impresses 'The Voice'

On a recent episode of “The Voice,” JB Somers delivered an impressive performance of Joni Mitchell’s “A Case of You.” Kelly Clarkson turned her chair for him almost immediately, while Chance the Rapper waited until the singer soared through the song’s falsetto lines before turning his own chair. Although the coaches went back and forth trying to convince JB to join their team, he ultimately chose to join Team Kelly.

Before the season premiere of “The Voice” aired, the coaches shared their excitement for being on the show for the final season with Blake Shelton. Kelly even texted Blake to make sure she was there for his last season, but she insisted that she won’t let nostalgia affect her competitive nature. Although she would be happy for Blake if he won, she is focused on winning herself. As for the show’s new coaches, Niall and Chance said they were ready to put in the work against the Team Blake dynasty.

On Monday’s episode of “The Voice,” JB Somers wowed the judges with his rendition of Joni Mitchell’s “A Case of You.” Kelly Clarkson turned her chair for JB almost immediately, while Chance the Rapper waited until the singer soared through the song’s falsetto lines. Chance mentioned that he was hesitant to turn around mainly because he is really particular about hearing people cover Joni Mitchell, but he was thoroughly impressed with JB’s high register. The coaches went back and forth trying to convince JB to join their team, but ultimately, Chance begged him, saying “This is the last thing I’m gonna say: Please?” in a moment of hilarity. Despite this, JB ended up joining Team Kelly.
