Robit Technology, a Turkish technology company, has announced the development of a new kamikaze drone named ‘Azab’. Selcuk Firat, the product director at Robit Technology, stated that ammunition tests will be conducted in the coming months after successfully completing all flight tests. The ammunition tests are expected to be completed by the end of the third quarter of 2023.
The Azab drone has two versions, one with a 2-meter wingspan capable of carrying a 15-kilogram payload and the other with a 1.5-meter wingspan. It also has a communication range of 200 kilometers and uses GPS coordinates to locate and destroy targets. Firat also noted that the drone can integrate different types of warheads, adding to its capabilities.
