YourPalRoss was born as Ross Botsford on July 15, 1996 in the United States. He has a pet cat named Kitty Purry aka KP. He is in good terms with the YouTubers ThatGuyBarney, Aphmau, and SGCBarbierian among others. He is a cousin of Shubble, who is known for posting Minecraft content, vlogs, and pop culture videos on her channel. She is the girlfriend of YouTuber Parker Coppins.

Ross Botsford started out on YouTube as a part of the channel Sky Media Offices. He then created his channel titled ‘House_Owner’ (now YourPalRoss) on May 9, 2016. He initially played with fellow YouTube gamers Adam (SkyDoesMinecraft), RedVacktor and ThatGuyBarney, among others but later began playing solely on his channel. The first two videos posted by Botsford on his channel were 'The Master of PVP- Minecraft Money Wars 1.10 Solo' and 'Pig VS. Ross- Minecraft - Man Vs. Pig'. These were followed by more Minecraft videos.

Soon after, the YouTube gamer began creating videos other than Minecraft content, including 'Ultimate Anime Character Personality Test' and 'Swimmer Arm Pits/Little Ponies/Dog Eye Care’. This journey continued, and within a span of two years, Botsford became a popular gamer on YouTube. Some of the most popular videos on his channel are ‘Handsomest Boy in Mcdonalds | Minecraft Guess Who,’ ‘I Can't Stop Waving | Minecraft Prop Hunt,’ and ‘Neko Atsume! | Minecraft Hide and Seek! | So Many Kitties.’ As of now, he has managed to earn over 513k subscribers and more than 30 million views on his channel.
