Personal Life

Trixie has been skateboarding for over a decade now. Initially, it was just a hobby she pursued. Around the same time, Trixie pursued music, too. She first joined the San Jose-based psychobilly band 'The Deadutantes,' as a drummer. Back then, it had become quite difficult for her to attend school and perform for the band, simultaneously. She would go for jam sessions every weekend and that impacted her academic performance. Sadly, the group disbanded by the time Trixie completed school.

Career

Trixie was soon approached by professional skateboarder Tony Trujillo, who urged her to join his upcoming skate-rock band. The band, presently known as 'Bad Shit,' was in the making then. The idea was conceived by Tony and Jake Phelps, legendary skateboarder and the editor-in-chief of the magazine ‘Thrasher.’ Trixie, along with the other two band members, initially practiced in a warehouse located in Hunters Point, San Francisco. It was a double treat for them as the warehouse was also an indoor skate park named 'Double Rock' or 'The Dojo.' Thus, along with jamming, they often practiced skateboarding, too. The band offers a perfect blend of hardcore metal and skateboarding. It has also released a few EPs and has performed at almost all the premier skateboarding events.
