Tristan was born Tristan de Burgh, on August 21, 1994, in San Diego, California, US. He has six siblings. Tristan is close to his sister Isabella de Burgh. Tristan’s father has lived in Ireland, while his mother has mostly lived in San Diego, California.

Tristan holds a degree in business and cinema from the 'University of Southern California.'

In 2017, rumors claimed Tristan had been dating model Lacey Claire. The rumors surfaced after photos of them vacationing in the Caribbean Islands, Haiti, and Puerto Rico appeared on 'Instagram' and became viral.

Tristan began using 'Snapchat' when he was in college. He was a regular 'Snapchat' user and initially used the app to interact with his friends. The video, titled 'College Gym Safari Tour on Snapchat,' became viral after he uploaded it on 'YouTube.' The video garnered over a 100 thousand views in the first 24 hours of being uploaded.

Tristan has a 'YouTube' channel that primarily hosts pranks, challenges, Q&A videos, and other entertaining content. Tristan often features 'YouTube' star Tessa Brooks in his videos. They make videos about relationships. They live together, and that makes their fans believe that they are a couple. However, it is said that they only act as a couple for their 'YouTube' videos. They have worked on several challenges and prank videos together. Tristan once uploaded a video titled 'I told her I like her…' It was actually a prank video. With over three millions views, it became one of the most popular videos on the channel. Tristan was a member of 'Team 10,' a social-media management company co-founded by social-media sensation Jake Paul. Tristan and Jake have collaborated numerous times to create entertaining 'YouTube' content. However, toward the end of 2017, Tristan quit the group. He later released a video explaining the reasons behind his exit.
