Timothy Thomas was born on January 18, 1994 in Boise, Idaho, the United States. He has a sister whose name has not been revealed. He was raised by a single mother. The YouTube animator hasn’t revealed anything regarding his love life and education to his fans. Thomas is good friends with fellow animator TheOdd1sOut. The duo once collaborated for a video called "Skipping School".

Timothy Thomas created his channel TimTom on August 24, 2016. His first video was titled ‘That Time My Mom Was Gay’. This was followed by another animated video called ‘Arresting A Guy At VidCon’ in which the YouTuber depicted his work experience at VidCon. Soon after, a number of other animated movies and stories followed. Each of those videos managed to earn at least a million of views in no time and Thomas became extremely popular within a period of just two years. Today, his channel TimTom has over a million subscribers. Moreover, it has received over 44 million collective views!

Three of the most watched animated skits on his channel are 'That Time My Mom Was Gay', 'My Wild European Trip w/ Jaiden Animations' and 'Skipping School'. In the first video that has 6.4 million views, Thomas narrated a story about his mother. In the second video, the animator shared his travel story to Europe, his travelling experience with pal Jaiden, and their experience at VidCon. Published on April 30, 2017, this animated video has over 6.3 million views as of September 2018. The third video features Thomas’ story about skipping school. Just like the two previous videos, this one too has earned more than 6 million views.

One of the most recent animated videos posted by Thomas is 'Stealing From My Dentist w/ Emirichu'. Published on September 15, 2018, the video has already earned more than 600k views till date.
