Tanner Buchanan

He was born in California on December 8, 1988. His family later settled in Los Angeles. He hasn’t revealed details about his family and siblings to the media, apart from the fact that he has received great support from them. He began his career as an actor when he was twelve and hasn’t looked back since then. Regarding his romantic life, he has chosen to stay mum about it, and until now hasn’t been spotted with any particular girl. He often hangs out with his co-stars and is most of the time shooting for new TV shows and films.

Tanner grew up in Burbank, but later moved with his family to Los Angeles seeking opportunities as an actor. His parents recognized the potential he possessed at a very young age. Upon moving there, he enrolled for professional training in ‘Edge Performing Arts Centre’ and ‘Huckleberry Friends Production’. Shortly afterwards, he auditioned for the TV show ‘Modern Family’ in 2010 and was cast in a main role. Tanner was soon signed on for other recurring roles in TV series such as ‘Major Crimes’, ‘Ghost Ghirls’ and ‘The Goldbergs’ in 2013. He made his feature-film debut the same year in the movie ‘Jake Squared’ alongside Jennifer Leigh and Elias Koteas. In 2014, he was cast in three short films- ‘Ellie’, ‘Guests’ and ‘Alone in the Dust’ and in the TV show ‘Growing Up Fisher’. But it was his role as Charlie Gardner in the second season of the hit teen show ‘Girl Meets World’ that made him a television heartthrob. He also took to theatre with Stephen Belber’s comedy ‘The Power of Duff’ at the Geffen Playhouse. In 2016, he was signed for the role of the socially inept teenager, Jack Downey on ABC’s family drama ‘The Fosters’, also bagging the part of Leo Kirkman in ‘Designated Survivors’ the same year. He earned himself the supporting role of Bobby Bell in the 2016 American comedy film ‘The Heyday of the Insensitive Bastards’.

With his innocent green eyes and boyish charm, Tanner has swept many fans off their feet, and his acting skills too haven’t fallen short of his good looks. He had his future all planned out at the tender age of nine, and has worked diligently to become a better performer with every passing role. Tanner has worked under some of the best banners such as ‘Disney’ and ‘Sony Pictures Television’ harnessing great experiences as a teenage artist.

Not many know that Tanner is a spectacular dancer, and that he received dance training from ‘Center Stage Dance Academy’ in Ottawa. He has a strong passion for music as well, he can play several instruments like the guitar and piano and loves singing and songwriting. Tanner manages to keep himself in shape by staying on a nutritious diet and hitting the gym religiously.
