Tameka Harris

Tameka Harris aka Tameka Cottle was born as Tameka Pope on July 14, 1975 in College Park, Georgia, USA, to parents Charles "Speedy" Pope and Dianne Cottle. She acquired the name ‘Tiny’ due to her short height. Harris went to Tri-Cities Performing Arts High School. She started dating rapper T.I. in 2000 and got married to him in 2010. The couple has three children, two sons: King Harris and Major Philant Harris, and a daughter, Heiress Diana Harris. The singer cum songwriter also has another daughter named Zonnique Jailee Pullins from a previous relationship. In 2016, Tameka and T.I. ended their marriage.

Tameka Harris started her career by joining the R&B quartet ‘Xscape’ in the year 1992. This group initially released three albums namely ‘Hummin' Comin' at 'Cha’, ‘Traces of My Lipstick’ and ‘Off the Hook’. Harris then contributed to six songs of the group. These songs were: ‘Understanding’, ‘All I Need’, ‘Do You Want To?’, ‘My Little Secret’, ‘Am I Dreamin' and ‘Love's a Funny Thing’. In the year 1998, ‘Xscape’ parted ways and Harris started focussing on her solo career.

However, after some time she reunited with her former band mates Tamika Scott and LaTocha and released the Xscape album ‘Unchained’ followed by the single ‘What's Up’ in the year 2005. Four years later, she got featured in the reality show ‘Tiny and Toya’. In 2011, her other show ‘T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle’ premiered on VH1. Then in 2014, the singer cum songwriter made a comeback in the music industry with her single ‘What The Fuck You Gon Do?’ The same year, Harris’ show ‘Tiny and Shekinah's Weave Trip’ featuring the singer and her best friend premiered on VH1.

In 2010, Harris and her then-husband were arrested following a vehicle stop in Los Angeles. It was reported that the couple was in the possession of the substance, ecstasy. It also came in the news that the odour of marijuana was coming from that vehicle.
