Gwed delved into social media while in his early teens in April 2014 when he signed up with the online photo sharing, video sharing and social networking service called Instagram and also with the free social networking microblogging service called Twitter. With time his interest in social media grew and in August 2014 he created a channel in the live broadcasting platform YouNow. Eventually he endeavored into YouTube. The videos and pictures he uploads in YouTube, YouNow and Instagram has earned him huge fame and recognition that is validated from the incredible count of more than 1.2 million subscribers on his YouTube channel that he operates under the username ‘unpandamoqueur’. His Instagram account also boasts of having a colossal count of over 1.2 million followers. However the count does not end here! This young lad has furthered his social media reach with other platforms as well. These include the social networking site Facebook and the social media platform Musical.ly that allows one to create and share short videos. He launched his Musical.ly account in 2015. As of October 2016 Gwed had already accumulated over 300K Facebook page likes; around 70K fans on YouNow; and over 350K fans on Musical.ly. He is also gaining popularity in Twitter where his followers have reached a count of almost 400K followers.

Although it is difficult to find out or tag the exact aspects that make him tremendously popular among his fans and viewers across social media platforms, one can be sure that his cuteness and boy-next-door looks have definitely played a big role in his journey as a social media star. He is associated with American YouTube star and aspiring film director Luke Korns who once tweeted "Sweet! I'm Going to France in a few weeks. @sulivangwed is going to have to translate for me."
