Stephanie Allynne was born in 1986 in Southern California Later in her life, she moved to Buffalo, New York.
Allynne is married to stand-up comedian, writer, actress Tig Notaro. The duo met on the sets of the film ‘In a World…’ They dated for a while and then took the decision to get married. The couple got engaged on January 1, 2015 and tied the knot on October 24, 2015.
Their wedding was attended by many stars, such as Alicia Silverstone, Lake Bell, Sarah Silverman, Jessica Williams, and Lucy Lawless.
Stephanie Allynne is is a house performer at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and has also regularly performed with ASSSSCAT, Wild Horses, and Last Day of School. In addition to this, she had her own show ‘Urban Adjacent’. The show was so loved and popular amongst the UCB Theatre that they extended its run time. She was also a part of the play, ‘Library Cards’ and her role was co-authored by Zoe Jarman.
In 2012, Allynne got the opportunity to embark on a national tour with Drew Carey and sketch comedy group, The Midnight Show. Additionally, she also hosts ‘Wild Horses: The Perspective Podcast’ along with her Wild Horses friends. In 2013, Allynne toured the country along with Mr. Show: An Evening with Bob and David (and Posehn).
Allynne has worked in number of television series which includes ‘Happy Endings, ‘Maron’, ‘The Birthday Boys,’ ‘Kroll Show’, ‘The Mindy Project’, ‘Animals’, ‘2 Broke Girls’ and ‘Up All Night.’ She also had roles in the Adult Swim show ‘Dream Corp LLC’ and ‘Twin Peaks’ on Showtime. Currently, she has been working on ‘One Mississippi’ with her partner Tig Notaro. She plays the role of Kate, who is a radio producer and love interest of Tig Notaro.
Allynne has also starred in quite a few movies over the years, such as ‘K.I.T’, ‘People Places Things’ Gregory Go Boom’, and ‘In a World’. In 2015, she played a small role in a SXSW official short film selection ‘Donald and Jess’.
