Squeezie started his first channel on YouTube on May 2008 and it was only focused on games like ‘Dofus’ and ‘Dofus Shield’. The channel has not been active in years as on January 8, 2011, he debuted his official channel ‘Squeezie’. The first few videos posted were gameplay and video commentaries like ‘Video commentée: Crysis 2’, ‘Video commentée: Call of Duty Black Ops’, and ‘Pourquoi je n'aime plus Modern Warfare 2?’. The videos fetched more than 300k viewers each and slowly started putting Lucas into the forefront of online gameplay. On February 11, 2012, he posted the video ‘Une journée dans la peau de WaRTeK 2’, which became the first video to get over 4 million views.
He also started making videos involving funny skits. The growing popularity of videos like ‘Les Différents Type De Profs’, ‘Le Virus Licorne - Robot unicorn attack - Un jeu WTF’, and ‘Un Moment Débile #3 - Travail, Toilettes, Piano, Anges du fps’ propelled him to his first major milestone when his channel reached half a million subscribers on June 6, 2013. There was no stopping the young YouTuber as on November 8, 2013, he published the video ‘1 Million D'abonnés’, declaring that his channel now had 1 million subscribers. He became the youngest ever French social media personality to achieve that. In the next few years, Squeezie continued on his success path and has now over 9.4 million subscribers. ‘Overwatch Rap Battle’ is his most viewed video with 27 million views.
He has also collaborated with other YouTube musicians like Bigflo and Oli to create music videos. His music style is based on comedy and follows rap and hip-hop genre. ‘Squeezie - Freestyle The Dictionary (ft Bigflo & Oli)’ received more than 19 million views whereas his single ‘Freestyle of Self Mockery’ has been viewed by millions as well. On March 2017 he started the web tv ‘LeStream.fr’ on Twitch with French comedian Cyprien. The live stream broke all records and is one of the most viewed French streams ever. Additionally, it is estimated that Squeezie earns over 1 million euros each year from his various channels and endorsements.
Squeezie was criticized by many in April 2017, for posting a video where he was seen reacting to uncomfortable cyberbullying videos. Although his intention was only to record his reactions, he was contacted by an association involved with anti-bullying. He removed the video and took it upon himself as a chance to promote awareness about cyberbullying with the video ‘Stop Harassment’.
