Solomia was born on April 24, 2001, in Kiev, Ukraine, to Andrey Lukyanets and Aliona Blinova. She was raised in a musical family. Her father is a musician while her mother is a vocal coach. She began singing at the age of three under the tutelage of her parents. After spending her early life in her native country, she relocated with her family to Berlin, Germany, where she currently resides.
Solomia gave her blind audition in the pilot episode of the Ukrainian version of ‘The Voice Kids’. Performing Yma Sumac's 'Gopher Mambo', she got all three judges, Tina Karol, Oleg Skrypka, and Svitlana Loboda, to turn their chairs for her. On November 4, 2012, the competition show premiered to positive reviews. Like its UK and USA counterparts, the music competition reality show sought a potential singing sensation among the thousands of applicants.
After being coached by Karol, Solomia sang ‘Chornobrivtsi’ in the week seven and registered a win over her fellow contestants Polina Yugay and Valeria Khomenko. On episode nine, which aired on 30 December, Solomia sang ‘5th element’ and earned a place in the finals via public’s choice.
The final stage of the competition was aired on January 6, 2013. In round one, each remaining competitor performed a solo song. Solomia took the stage to sing Andrea Bocelli’s ‘Time to Say Goodbye’ and progressed to the second round by public’s choice. In round two, she performed ‘Vyshe Oblakov’, which is a song originally sung by her coach, Tina Karol. However, Solomia eventually lost to Anna Tkach, who was declared the winner of the first season of ‘The Voice Kids (Ukraine)’.
After she moved to Germany, Solomia participated in the season three of ‘The Voice Kids (Germany)’. She gave her blind audition on this rendition of ‘The Voice Kids’ on an episode that aired on March 6, 2015. She sang ‘Time to Say Goodbye’ and all three judges turned their chairs. Solomia was eventually eliminated from the competition in the battle rounds.
The other accolades that she has accumulated in her fledgling career so far include the 1st place in the World of Talents (Kiev, Ukraine) in 2005, the 1st place in the World of Talents International in 2006, 1st place in the Magic Candle International in 2007, 1st place in the New Wave Junior in 2009, and the 1st place in the International Competition of young opera singers by Elena Obraztsova in 2010.
