Shelby Chesnes

Shelby Chesnes became interested in modeling as she grew older and completed her education. She initially got a few small opportunities, modeling for a local sunglass company and appearing on car ads, but those were not enough to further her career. At the age of 20, she took the initiative to upload some of her pictures to the Playboy website in order to work as a model for the magazine. About one month later, she was asked to do a test shoot for the magazine. She went to Los Angeles for the test shoot, and waited anxiously for the final call. It took about a couple months till she got a response from the magazine. The day before her 21st birthday, she was offered a modeling deal with Playboy magazine. She did not know how to break the news to her mother, but happily accepted the offer. Her mother, who understood how huge the opportunity was, supported her in going forward with the offer. She was selected as Playboy magazine's Miss July 2012. Her centerfold picture was photographed by famous Playboy photographer Stephen Wayda. She admits that Playboy has acted as a talent agency for her, opening up other opportunities.

Shelby Chesnes now enjoys the status of a celebrity, as people often surround her asking for autographs. While she feels happy and honored, she is in no way content with what she has achieved so far. Shooting for Playboy as a model is still her priority, but she is also looking for other career options. She is an entrepreneur and runs her own spray tan business. However, she doesn't use her Playboy model status to promote her personal business, even though she doesn't mind to use it to further her modeling career. She has worked on the movies ‘Last Vegas’ and ‘Horrible Bosses 2’. The former, in which she was featured as a Las Vegas bikini contestant, allowed her the lifetime opportunity to be around stars like Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman and Michael Douglas. She is now looking for more opportunities as an actress.

As a model, it is very important for Shelby Chesnes to stay in shape and follow a healthy lifestyle. She practices Pilates, yoga, and weight training, and takes a balanced diet. She thinks that the easiest way to tell if someone is healthy is by looking at the condition of his/her hair. According to Shelby, who is proud of her long and luxurious hair, it will reflect on one's hair whether or not someone is taking care of himself or herself. She considers herself more mature and responsible than most people of her age. As a businesswoman, she thinks "big", and is always eager to look for ways to improve her products. When it comes to relationships, she thinks that she is quite old-fashioned. She doesn't like men who are self-centered and don't learn from their past mistakes.
