She went on to train in ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap, contemporary, hip-hop and acro at Jeremy Nasmith's Dance TEQ Centre. She also took tumbling lessons once a week at Durham Elite Cheer. She is most fond of lyrical and acro dance and her favorite dance move is the 'scorpion' (also known as the 'hairpin'). She is also a trained gymnast. She can sing and can play the bass clarinet as well. She attended a public school in Whitby from where she completed her grade 8 graduation with honors and was the Valedictorian of her class. She then went on to enroll at the Rosedale School for the Arts in Toronto and also trains at Dance Inc. in Ajax, Ontario. She later took Advanced Acting lessons at Lewis Baumander Acting Studios. Apart from dancing, she was interested in pursuing a career as a scientist or a director when she was a child. She has a dog named Newton.
