Shaunie O’Neal

Shaunie dated NBA player, Shaquille O’Neal, for quite some time. The couple welcomed a son, on January 11, 2000. They named him Shareef Rashaun O’Neal. Their daughter, Amirah Sanaa, was born in 2001.

The couple got married on December 26, 2002 at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

They welcomed their third child together, Shaquir Rashaun, on April 19, 2003.

Shaunie O’Neal was born on November 27, 1974, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was named as Va’shaundya Karlette Nelson upon her birth. She moved to Los Angeles, along with her family when she was just 10 years old.

She attended and graduated from the University of Southern California.

Shaunie worked as a film marketer for FOX Entertainment.

She rose to fame after starting to date NBA center Shaquille O’Neal.

She has appeared in several TV shows including Basketball Wives, a show that revolves around the lives of wives and girlfriends of Basketball stars and players and highlights the glamorous life.

Her television show ‘Basketball Wives’ also sheds light on important issues such as single motherhood, self-esteem, parenting styles and the influence of parenting on the children.

During 2012 and 2013, she was a part of the Mission Christmas Eve for the Homeless.

In 2011, Shaunie hosted a red-carpet shopping charity event with singer Brandy at Louis Vuitton Rodeo Drive. The event saw a number of renowned celebrities like Flo Rida, Amber Rose, Elise Neal and Eva Marcille. The proceedings of the event were donated to a foundation set up by Shaunie herself for underprivileged children.

In 2012, she attended the Habitat for Humanity Gala in Los Angeles. She has also been known to stand up for causes related to welfare of women and children.

She recently held an event empowering women and talking about issues related to women. The event is a part of ‘Let’s Talk About It Empowerment Series’. Through a series of events, Shaunie aims to create awareness and encouraging women entrepreneurs.
