Shaun was born on July 7, 1987, in West Point. Utah. He has six sisters who played a crucial role in helping him start his career as a "Snapchatter."
Shaun attended 'Weber State University' in 2009. He graduated in 2013 with a major in the study of specialized sales, merchandizing, and marketing operations.
Shaun is married to Jenny McBride, a part-time ultrasound technician. The couple is blessed with two adorable children. Their daughter, Adley, was born on August 6, 2015, and their son, Niko, was born on June 7, 2018. Adley owns a 'YouTube' channel that is managed by Shaun. Shaun now lives with his family in Syracuse, Utah.
Shaun always had an inclination toward digital art. However, as a child, he always dreamt of becoming a skateboarder and of owning a skate shop. He succeeded in turning his childhood dream into reality through his first business venture, a skate shop in Ogden, Utah. He earned huge success as a snowboard sales representative, which led him to start an online jewelry boutique. Shaun ran that boutique through 'Facebook.' As an online entrepreneur, Shaun learned a lot about social media and its power.
Soon, Shaun developed an interest in creating finger-painting videos, which he later posted on his 'Snapchat' account. The account was created in 2014 and now has over 140 thousand followers. He would often send some of his finger paintings to his sisters who were in school then. Shaun's videos caught the attention of many of his sisters’ friends, and he became popular as a digital artist in his social circle. His popularity received a boost after one of his initial videos of a sketch of an old lady with rainbow hair, which Shaun turned into a pony, became viral on 'Snapchat.' That was when Shaun’s 'Snapchat' fan base started to grow and he became a full-time "Snapchatter." He also polished his skills further and could turn almost any daily life incident into a 'Snapchat' story. The turning point of his career was when he was approached by 'Disney.'
Shaun was riding a ski lift in Colorado when he got a call from 'Disney.' They approached him to do a 'Snapchat' story for them. Shaun visited 'Disney World' and created a 'Snapchat' story for a ‘Frozen’ event. In the story, Shaun tracked the character ‘Olaf’ through the park. The 'Snapchat' video was highly appreciated by 'Disney,' and Shaun was listed as one of their digital art creators.
Following this, Shaun was approached by brands such as 'AT&T,' 'Samsung,' 'Google,' 'Red Bull,' 'Taco Bell,' and 'MLS.'
In November 2013, Shaun laid the foundation of his marketing and advertising company, 'Shonduras Inc.' The title originated from his online pseudonym, “Shonduras,” which is a combination of the first letter of his name and the country Honduras, where Shaun lived earlier.
Shaun was the first "Snapchatter" to work with the talent agency ‘GrapeStory.' He was nominated in 'The Best Snapchatter’ category of the 7th annual 'Shorty Awards.' At the 5th annual 'Streamy Awards,’ Shaun was nominated for both the ‘Best Snapchat Storyteller’ and the 'Best Short Form Creativity.’
His contribution to ‘SnapperHero’ won Shaun the 'Streamy Award' for the 'Best Short Form Creativity.' He also won the 'Snapchat Storyteller' award at the 5th and the 6th annual 'Streamy Awards.' In 2016, Shaun won the 'Ghostie Award' for the ‘Snapchatter of the Year.'
He is one of the first celebrity “Snapchatters” in the world and has earned a spot on the 2017 'Forbes 30 Under 30' list in the category of marketing and advertising.
