Shaheen Jafargholi was born on 23 January 1997 in Swansea, Wales, to Karen Thomas and Iraj Jafargholi. His father is of Iranian descent, which explains the young boy’s exotic look. His parents had an amicable separation and Jafargholi, who sees his father regularly, lives with his mother. Currently, he attends the Mark Jermin Stage School on Saturdays.

Personal Life

Shaheen Jafargholi first appeared as Christy Skinner in an episode of the medical drama ‘Casualty’. In 2006, he appeared as Danny on the television series ‘Torchwood’. Three years later, he was cast in the children’s TV series ‘Grandpa in My Pocket’. Then in 2016, the actor joined the cast of the British soap opera ‘EastEnders’.

His other TV appearances include ‘Mine All Mine’, ‘The Frank Skinner Show’ and ‘ITV Wales News’. Jafargholi has also acted on stage and has appeared in the film ‘A Way of Life’ as well as in the short film ‘Day at the Beach’. In addition, he has done a handful of commercials as well.

Acting Career

In 2009, Shaheen Jafargholi participated in the reality TV competition ‘Britain's Got Talent’ where his first audition song was ‘Valerie.’ After ending the song after two lines, he was requested to sing another song. After a moment of hesitation, he rallied and sang Michael Jackson's track ‘Who's Lovin' You.’ After this, Jafargholi appeared at the 2009 MOBO Awards event and sang ‘I'll Be There’ during the event’s tribute to Jackson.

Singing Career

Later, he performed ‘Who's Lovin' You’ and ‘Lean on Me’ at the BBC Switch Live event at Hammersmith Apollo and at the BBC Children in Need Gala in Cardiff. Soon after this, the American singer sang ‘I'll Be There’ on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. In September 2010, he participated in ‘Welcome to Wales’ concert. That year, it was reported that Jafargholi will release the studio album ‘When I Come of Age’ with Island Records UK. Unfortunately, the album never got released. Then in 2014, Jafargholi’s album titled ‘Acoustic’ came out.
