SelfieC was born Courtney Schmidt, on October 31, 1997, in California. She grew up with an older brother and an older sister.

SelfieC graduated high school in 2018. She was on her school’s swim team. SelfieC stated to learn swimming when she was 3 and began competitive swimming after turning 7. She is now preparing for her higher studies and plans to take up a job in the future.

SelfieC loves spending time with her friend Sabrina in her free time. She also likes to draw. SelfieC is extremely fond of wearing crop tops. She believes she can team crop tops with almost any type of clothing, be it formal, semi-formal, or casual. High-waisted shorts are also among SelfieC’s favorite types of clothing. She also loves wearing floppy hats and circular sunglasses. SelfieC is a loyal customer of 'UsTrendy.' She loves their collection of colorful rompers. Kylie and Kendall Jenner are her fashion icons. Her favorite color is blue. SelfieC loves eating baked sweet potatoes. 'Jasmine' and 'Ariel' are her favorite 'Disney' characters.

SelfieC always had an inclination toward performing in front of the camera. She also had a flair for comedy. Her interests had a collective influence on her decision to be a social-media personality. Soon, she adopted the pseudonym “SelfieC.” The name was formed by combining the term "selfie” printed on a sweatshirt that she wore all the time and the first letter of her first name.

SelfieC began her social-media career with 'Vine,' where she would post comedy sketches. Her first 'Vine' was posted on May 23, 2013. SelfieC featured popular "Viners" Alexia Raye and Lycia Faith in one of her "Vines," '#bestimpression of a girl who can't take a selfie.' Her incredible comedy videos earned her millions of followers on 'Vine' before the application was shut down.

SelfieC later turned toward 'YouTube,' where she ventured into a collaborative channel called 'Glamssgirls,' or ‘MODO by Nattalie Janette.’ The channel was primarily a fashion and beauty channel. The channel made SelfieC discover her love for fashion. Although the channel does not have any content on it anymore, it still has over 97 thousand subscribers.

SelfieC now has a self-titled 'YouTube' channel, which hosts her comedy sketches along with content related to beauty and fashion. She collaborated with pop artist Devin Hayes in the video '#Ask DelfieC.’ She has also collaborated with "Viners" Malak Watson and Tayvion Power in the video ‘When guys try to act natural in front of girls.’ SelfieC displayed her amazing acting skills in a video where she impersonated famous social-media personalities such as JC Caylen, Lycia Faith, Jenna Marbles, Brodie Smith, and Miranda Sings. The channel now has around 25 thousand subscribers. She is also quite popular on 'Instagram' and 'Twitter,' where her posts have garnered her over 392 thousand and 115 thousand followers, respectively.

SelfieC loves makeup. She is also fond of dressing up. She once posed in a dress designed by famous designer Alyce Paris. The dress was an exclusive pick from her 2014 homecoming season collection. SelfieC is often seen attending prestigious red-carpet events. She was invited to the 2014 'Bravefest' held in San Diego. The online apparel shopping site 'ustrendy.com' named SelfieC the “UsTrendy Trend Setter of the Week” for the first week of April 2015.
