Sat Hari Khalsa was born in the United States of America. She was, however, sent to a boarding school in India, at a very young age. Hence, she spent her childhood in India and got acquainted to some of the Indian customs. During her stay in India, Khalsa learnt about precious gems and the ancient symbolism associated with jewelry making. Khalsa was fascinated by the idea of making jewelry in accordance with certain rules of ancient symbolism. Her designs too, played a major role in deciding the level of her success. So much so that she started designing for the world-renowned Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston.
