Sarita Choudhury was born as Sarita Catherine Louise Choudhury on 18 August 1966, in Blackheath, London, England, to parents Prabhas Chandra Choudhury and Julia Patricia. She has an older brother named Chandra Paul Choudhury and a younger brother named Kumar Michael Choudhury. The actress attended Queen's University where she studied film and economics. She is very guarded when it comes to her love life and doesn’t share details of her romantic relationships with the media.
Sarita Choudhury first appeared as Meena in the 1991 movie ‘Mississippi Masala’. She then did the movies ‘Wild West’, ‘The House of the Spirits’, ‘Fresh Kill’, ‘Down Came a Blackbird’, ‘The Perez Family’ and ‘Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love’. In 1998, she was cast as Dr. Kalyani in the drama ‘Homicide: Life on the Street’. The same year, Choudhury appeared in the films ‘Restless’ and ‘A Perfect Murder’. A year later, she acted in the flick ‘Gloria’.
Then in 2001, she played the role of Julia Brooks in the drama ‘100 Centre Street’. Two years later, the English actress got featured in the movie ‘It Runs in the Family’. She was then offered the movies ‘She Hate Me’, ‘Lady in the Water’ and ‘The Accidental Husband’. Choudhury then played Preet in the flick ‘Entre nos’ in 2009.
