Sam Wills was born on 28 August 1978, in New Zealand. He learnt juggling at the Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology's Circus School and got his diploma in New Circus from there. He met his future wife, Felicity Redman, in the year 2007. Two years later, the couple had a ‘symbolic wedding’ as a start to the 2009 World Buskers Festival. Later they had their legal wedding in England. In January 2013, Redman gave birth to Wills’ son, Rafferty Basil Danger Wills. The couple separated in 2017.

Personal Life

Sam Wills started his career as an entertainer at the age of 13. Till 2001, he performed in several corporate events, private functions, and also appeared on television, running weekly comedy nights. In 2002, he flew over to Auckland and became a comedian at a casino. There, he ran his weekly show named ‘NCB Comedy Hour’. Three years later, he performed at the Auckland Festival as MC of the Late Club. That year, he also performed at World Buskers' Festival. Wills became a regular performer on TV2’s ‘Pulp Comedy’ as well.

Career

Then in 2008, he performed his show ‘The Boy with Tape on His Face’ at Melbourne Comedy Festival. After this, the ambitious comedian made his appearance on the first BBC Comedy Prom that was held at London's Royal Albert Hall in August 2011. The same year, Wills made an appearance on the ‘Comedy Rocks’ – a show that was hosted by Jason Manford. In 2016, the New Zealand performer auditioned for ‘America's Got Talent’ (Season 11). He went on to become a finalist of the show.
