Sam Wilkinson

Sam Wilkinson more famous by his pseudonym Sammy Wilk on social media is into music, modelling and comedy apart from being a Vine Star. He landed up with his Vine account as a young boy almost at the inception of this video sharing app. Raised in Omaha, Nebraska, he became best buddies with fellow Vine Star duo Jack Gilinsky and Jack Johnson who went on to gain immense fame with their vine account ‘Jack and Jack’. Wilkinson grew up with the duo in Omaha and used to hang around with them since he was in 7th grade. It so happened that Wilkinson opened his Vine account more or less at the same time when the duo did and the three used to collaborate on different ideas and shot them and uploaded the videos in some of their Vines. In a lighter mood they used to compare count of followers in their individual accounts like say at one time when Johnson had around 300 followers, Wilkinson had 380. They attempted to up the numbers with more interesting Vines and this became a fun activity amongst the three. In this manner Wilkinson’s fanbase on Vine strengthened and what began as a casual activity helping his buddies out soon revealed a new opportunity to him. Things started falling into place and soon the number of the followers on his Twitter and Instagram account also grew as well. In no time he started getting noticed as an upcoming Vine Star and the rest as they say is history!

He writes and records music and then uploads the videos on the internet. He uploaded his first video on March 16, 2013, and garnered more than 200K followers within a year. In 2014 he received invitation to make guest appearance at the tour of ‘Magcon’ that stands for ‘Meet and Greet Convention’, a tour or convention of famous Vine boys that was created in 2013 by Bart Bordelon, which again strengthened his popularity gaining him more fans and followers. He released his album titled ‘Ready for War’ on iTunes in 2016.

He was born on December 11, 1995, in Omaha, Nebraska, United States, in the family of Dave and Lori Wilkinson as the youngest of their four children. His three siblings are his two elder sisters Annie and Emily and elder brother Ben. He attended Westside High School. In 2016, he began dating social media personality Anastasia Karanikolaou who is renowned as Stassiebaby online and has huge followings on Instagram, Vine and Twitter.
