He performed with a band along with British pop singer Mikey Cobban and later joined the boy band ‘RoadTrip’ as the second member of the group. The five-member British band was invited in the worldwide Magcon 2016 tour. The tour took place from February to September covering England, New Zealand, Ireland, Spain, Germany, France and Australia, and gave exposure and recognition to Rye. It was the first Magcon tour that covered Europe and Australia.

Pop singer Blair Dreelan who was the lead singer of the 90s boy band ‘East 17’ is the manager of ‘RoadTrip’. The five artists of ‘RoadTrip’ including Rye, all having different personas, have been successful in their effort to put up a great band that is gradually gaining prominence. The members of the group created the YouTube channel ‘RoadTrip TV’ on July 29, 2015 where they upload original music videos as well as covers of famous artists. The most popular video of the channel that garnered over five million views is ‘Galway Girl - Ed Sheeran’. Other popular videos of the channel that amassed more than a million views include ‘I'm The One - DJ Khaled ft. Justin Bieber (Boyband Cover)’, ‘ZAYN - Dusk Till Dawn ft. Sia (Boyband Cover)’ and ‘Camila Cabello - Havana (Boyband Cover)’ among many others.

The channel has so far accumulated more than 396K subscribers and has garnered a whooping viewership count of over 56 million thus raising the popularity of the band and its members including Rye. The first EP of the group Miss Taken (Demos) was released on April 13, 2017. It climbed atop the preorder charts on iTunes.

Success of their primary YouTube channel ‘RoadTrip TV’ encouraged the band to launch their vlogging channel ‘RoadTrip Vlogs’ on March 22, 2017. This channel gives the viewers and fans the update of their everyday life apart from giving them an exclusive access of the happenings of the group behind the scenes. The channel which is just a few months old is making quite an impressive headway and although it is yet to catch up with the popularity of ‘RoadTrip TV’, ‘RoadTrip Vlogs’ has already amassed over 40K subscribers and more than 1.76 million views. Some of the most popular posts of the channel are ‘'WHY DONT WE'...GET NAKED’, ‘Logan Paul Crashed His Car And Put Us In His Vlog’ and ‘JUMPING OFF CAMERON DALLAS' ROOF!!’.

Apart from making his mark in the social media as one-fifth of the ‘RoadTrip’ band, Rye has also made his presence felt on Twitter. He opened his account ‘ryeroadtrlptv’ in this online news and social networking service in April 2017.

Rye was born on January 24, 1996 in England. There is hardly any information available on childhood, family background and education of this young musician except that he has three brothers - Sam, Rob and Sean. It seems that the pop star is a private person and likes to keep his personal life away from the limelight as he has also not disclosed anything on his past or present romantic associations and dating status.

Hobbies of Rye include doing flips and free running. He once mentioned that if he weren’t a member of ‘RoadTrip’, he probably would have enjoyed visiting different places doing his flips and tricks.
