Ross Malinger was born as Ross Aaron Malinger on July 7, 1984, in Redwood City, California, USA. His mother Laura is a producer while his father Brian is a producer as well as a sales representative. Malinger has a brother Tyler Cole Malinger, who is an actor, and a sister Ashley Malinger who is also an actress.
Ross Malinger first appeared as Harvey in the 1990 flick ‘Kindergarten Cop’. He then guest-starred in ‘'Beverly Hills, 90210' and 'Who's the Boss?'. After this, he acted in the flicks ‘Eve of Destruction’ and ‘Late for Dinner’. Then in 1993, he was cast as Jonah Baldwin in the movie ‘Sleepless in Seattle’. The following year, the actor appeared on the series ‘Good Advice’.
In 1994, he guest-starred in the drama series ‘Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman'. Soon after this, he appeared in the movies ‘Bye Bye, Love’ and ‘Sudden Death’. Then in 1996, Malinger guest-starred in the dramas 'Maybe This Time' and 'Touched by an Angel'. That year, he also did voice work for the film ‘Homeward Bound II: Lost in San Francisco’. After that, he was cast as Bobby Jameson in the comedy film ‘Toothless’ in 1997. The same year, the American artiste began voicing Theodore J. "T. J." Detweiler in ‘Recess.’
Malinger appeared as Tyler Hale on the show ‘Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher’ around the same time. After this, he had a recurring role in Fox’s drama ‘Party of Five’. He also voiced Tom Sawyer in ‘The Animated Adventures of Tom Sawyer’ in 1998. Then after guest-starring in an episode each of ‘Family Law’ and ‘V.I.P.’ respectively, the actor made a guest appearance in the CBS show ‘Touched by an Angel’ in 2001.
Malinger retired from acting in 2006. He later ventured into business administration and was appointed as a general manager at Automotive Legends.
