Rosa Blasi

Rosa Blasi has married twice. In February 2014, she married professional football player Jim Finn. Finn was a fullback player for the ‘New York Giants.’ The couple has a daughter, Kaia Finn. They divorced in 2008. Blasi has the custody of her daughter.

In May 2014, Blasi married Todd William Harris, a mortgage broker by profession. The couple met through the dating site, ‘Match.com.’ Blasi has a stepdaughter, Ryan, from her husband’s previous marriage. The couple does not have any kids from this marriage.

Rosa Blasi was born on December 19, 1972, in Chicago, Illinois. Her father, Rocco, and mother, Joyce Blasi, were mezzo soprano singers. She has two sisters, Marina, and Tasha, and two brothers, Michael, and Rocky. She is of Italian, Irish, and Hispanic descent.

Blasi was trained as a mezzo soprano. She took piano, and dance classes, and voice training during her early years. Being born in a family of singers, ballet dancers, and theatre artists, Blasi was inclined towards performing on stage.

At the age of 8, Rosa Blasi started performing on stage. She performed at the ‘Piven performance Company’ and also with the comedy group, ‘The Second City.’ Blasi has performed in several musicals and has also toured with musician Kenny Rogers.

In 1996, Rosa Blasi made her TV debut with the soap opera, ‘The Bold and the Beautiful.’ It was aired on the ‘CBS’ network. Blasi played the recurring role of ‘Shelly.’ In the same year, she appeared in the series, ‘High Tide.’

In 1997, Blasi portrayed the main character, ‘April Beane,’ in the series, ‘Hitz,’ which was telecast on the ‘UPN’ channel. She appeared in 10 episodes of the series. Thereafter, Blasi appeared in guest roles in several TV series, such as ‘Frasier,’ ‘Becker,’ ‘Caroline in the City,’ and ‘Sons of Thunder.’

In 1999, Blasi played ‘Clara Covington,’ in an episode of the teenage drama series, ‘Beverly Hills, 90210.’ In the same year, she appeared as ‘Carla,’ in an episode of the sitcom, ‘Grown Ups.’ The episode was titled, ‘The Out Of Work-Out.’ In 2000, Blasi made her debut in movies, with the role of ‘Vicky Amador,’ in ‘Noriega: God’s Favorite.’ The film was directed by Roger Spottiswoode. The film received critical reviews and Blasi’s performance was also noticed.

In 2000, Blasi found the big break with the medical drama series, ‘Strong Medicine.’ It was aired on the ‘Lifetime’ network, from 2000 to 2006. Blasi played ‘Dr. Luisa Delgado,’ a doctor and single mother. The series delved into the lives of two female doctors, ‘Dr. Delgado,’ and ‘Dr. Stowe,’ who were from different backgrounds. Blasi played her part brilliantly, and earned a lot of appreciation. She remained on the show till it went off-air.

In 2004, Blasi performed in the famed horror movie, ‘The Grudge.’ She played ‘Maria Kirk,’ who was the wife of ‘Peter Kirk,’ the character played by Bill Pullman. It was her first major role in a film. In the same year, she acted in the crime movie, ‘Lesser of Three Evils.’ She appeared as ‘Woman in Black.’ In 2005, Blasi guest-starred as ‘Ana Garcia’ in an episode of the police drama series, ‘CSI: Miami.’
