Rachel Marie

Rachel Marie was born in Mexico, on February 6, 1999. She moved to the USA with her family. She has a younger brother named Aaron who is a gymnast himself and featured in her videos. Both her father and mother have appeared in her videos although their names are not known. Her mother is also an ex-gymnastics coach who helps her with the gym. Rachel lives in Florida, USA. In May 2015, she broke her toe after successfully doing a half-turn dismount from a beam and had to take time off to heal. Rachel’s Instagram account is full of pictures of her travels around the world including all over USA and countries in Europe. She is in a relationship with longtime boyfriend Brennen who often appears on her Instagram posts as well.

Rachel Marie started doing gymnastics at the age of six and became a professional acrobat at the age of 14. She performed her first aerial solo on April 28, 2014, and immediately established herself as a top aerial acrobat. In her career as a professional gymnast, she has won several awards including the ‘Super Pro Gymnastics Award’, ‘Creativity Gym Club Award’, ‘Senior Contortion Club Award’, and the ‘Go Pink Gymnast Award’.

On September 3, 2011, she was, for the first time featured on the hugely popular ‘SevenGymnasticsGirls’ channel in the coveted Saturday spot. She was only 12 then and already a ‘level 7’ gymnast. Her immense talent and flexibility made her hugely popular and she went on to be featured in over 257 videos on the channel. It was largely due to her videos that the channel had more than 1.3 million subscribers. On April 8, 2017, the young gymnast left the channel to focus on her own coaching career.

She already had a YouTube account named ‘1010gymgirl’ but created a new one on August 8, 2014, entitled ‘Rachel Marie’, to build her solo career. Her initial videos were about gymnastics tutorials like ‘Beginner Gymnastics: Backbend Kickover Tutorial’ and fetched thousands of views. Some of the most popular videos on her channel are ‘The Floor Is Lava Gymnastics Challenge’ and ‘Crazy Ninja Course’ etc.

In 2016, at the age of 17, she became a gymnastics coach and started her own gym. While most of her videos are viewed more than 200k times each, she reached her first major milestone in terms of views on August 18, 2017. Her fun video ‘Gymnasts VS Coach - Gymnastics Competition’ in which she competed against her own students received more than 2.1 million views. It was the first video to get more than a million views. Shortly afterward on September 9, 2017, she published the video ‘Boys VS Girls Gymnastics Challenge’ which has since become the most viewed video on her channel with over 10 million views. On November 11, 2017, Rachel’s channel gained 100k subscribers and she thanked her viewers by doing 100 back handsprings.
