Paige Butcher

Jacinta Paige Butcher was born on June 10. 1979, in Perth, Western Australia. She belongs to a family from the fashion industry, as her father was a model and her mother, a fashion designer. She has been in a relationship with Eddie Murphy since 2012, and the couple has a daughter, Izzy Oona Murphy (born May 3, 2016) and are expecting their second child.

Australian born Paige Butcher was blessed with good looks from birth and came from a family that was into fashion-industry. She wanted to become an actress and to that end started modeling. Having the innate desire to become an actress, she started auditioning for parts. Additionally, her beauty and her work as a model also started garnering attention. All of these led to her acting debut with the movie ‘Something’s Gotta Give’ on December 12, 2003. Although she had a minor role in the movie, being featured in a movie with the likes of Jack Nicholson, Diane Keaton, and Keanu Reeves was a great accomplishment in her young career.

Simultaneously, she continued modeling for big brands and on the ramp. In 2005, Butcher was seen in a swimsuit video for ‘Maxim’ Magazine, included in the ‘Maxim the Real Swimsuit DVD Vol. 2’. She received praise for her bikini body and poise and her modeling career took off. In 2006, she acted in her second movie, the comedy ‘Big Momma’s House 2’. However, in spite of appearing in a couple of movies, acting roles were not coming her way, as much as she would have liked. Her modeling career, on the other hand, was a different story and she was very successful in that aspect.

While her personal accomplishments are noteworthy, she became more popular in the eyes of the media, once she started dating comic legend, Eddie Murphy. The actor-comedian has always been famous for his dating life and already had eight children from previous relationships before meeting Paige. Murphy’s last relationship before Paige was with Tracey Edmonds, with whom he almost got married in January 2008.

Paige Butcher started going out with Eddie Murphy in 2012. With all the media attention she started getting because of having a massive celebrity boyfriend like Murphy, she soon deleted all her social media accounts. In an interview with ‘Vanity Fair’ when asked about this, she clearly stated that privacy and security concerns were the major reasons for the decision. Eddie followed suit and also appeared almost inactive on social media. Thus, besides some red carpet appearances and trips to Starbucks, not much was reported on the media about the couple.

The couple took everyone by surprise when in November 2015, a representative for the couple revealed that they were expecting their first child together. It would be Eddie’s ninth. On May 3, 2016, Paige Butcher gave birth to a daughter, Izzy Oona Murphy. The couple has managed to keep media eyes away from their daughter to give her a normal childhood. However, paparazzi following Paige still managed to get a few pictures of mother and child when they went grocery shopping.
