Owen Bodnar was born on July 29, 2003, in San Antonio, Texas. His grandfather was in the army and served as a pilot in Vietnam. In 2005, when he was only two years old, his family relocated to Dallas, Texas, and he currently resides in the city of Carrollton. He loves to sing, play the guitar, and perform in front of an audience. As a child, he was active in athletics, and has been playing football since he was in the second grade. He also participates in a number of other sports including basketball, track and field, cross country, and soccer. He is a fan of LeBron James, professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Owen Bodnar, who according to his official website loves to make people happy, had his eyes on the entertainment industry since he was a child. At the age of 10, he appeared in the lead role of Peter Pan in a school production of the musical. He began his social media journey in July 2016 when he created his Instagram profile '@owenbodnar2'. Soon after, he also joined the musical.ly app with the username '@owenrbodnar', reportedly to impress a girl he had a crush on. He amassed 1 million fans on musical.ly, and currently boasts 1.4 million fans on the live broadcasting app, as well as 240k followers on Instagram. He also joined YouTube in November 2016 and began uploading videos on his channel the following year. He started off with a 'QNA' video which was posted on YouTube on February 20, 2017. One week later, on February 26, 2017, he followed it up with his second upload, 'INSANE OLYMPICS GAMES!!' However, he has not been very active on the platform since then, and has posted only one more video on his channel, a vlog style one titled 'Good deeds in L.A!!!', uploaded on May 1st 2017. He used to live stream on Live.ly, the streaming sub-platform of musical.ly, before it was shut down by its parent company in June 2018.
Owen Bodnar was in a short-lived relationship with fellow muser Danielle Cohn in early 2017, during which the two were nearly inseparable. They collaborated on several Musical.ly videos and were often spotted together and shared intimate pictures of them together on social media. She even wrote his name on her wrist, showed his pictures to her YouTube subscribers, and captioned an Instagram picture of them together in purge costumes with the text - "couples who purge together stay together." Unfortunately, soon after, in May 2017, she revealed in a video on her YouTube channel that the two were not dating anymore. In the same month, he told his fans on Ask.fm that they had broken up, and also claimed that she had slept with Landon Barker for a playlist. While some of his followers were unhappy with him for throwing dirt on her and not believing her side of the story, she later claimed in December that year that the two were still good friends.
