Gregory Jackson started his YouTube channel ‘Onision’ on 29th January 2006. He has over 2.2 million subscribers to his channel. The estimated income daily by this channel is $450 per day making $160,000 in a year. His second channel titled ‘OnisionArchive’ was created in 2008. It was used as a secondary channel to publish additional information as well as to generate more earnings through advertisements and it has over 660K subscribers. Thereafter, he went on to create his next channel ‘OnisionSpeaks’ in August 2009. Known among his fans as just “speaks”, it was initially a platform to promote vegetarianism but later he started to post vlogs with his advices on topics like how to overcome depression and combat suicidal feelings. It has around 1.9 million subscribers. In April 2011, he came up with another channel named ‘OnisionEncore’ which is primarily of vlog style and it has over 155 K subscribers. Later, in 2012, he created his fifth channel ‘UhOhBro’ in which he uploads videos of him searching topics on Google and then reacting to those. This channel has more than 1.9 million subscribers and it generates about $900 each day and receives more than 600,000 views on a daily basis.

It has been estimated that Onision has earned 2.24 million from Onision, 1.9 million from OnisionSpeaks, 2.4 million from UhOhBro, 120K from OnisionEncore and 670K from OnisionArchive. As of April 2017, Greg’s financial asset is around $ 2.3 million. He also sells his personal accessories and T- shirts as his secondary income source.

Gregory’s list of controversies is never ending. His video titled “Murder Eaters” (2009) where he putdown meat eaters and called them murderers was heavily criticized.

In 2010, he went on to criticize the decision of Shay Butler’s statement to circumcise his son. This invoked massive negativity against him.

Around 2012 his girlfriend Adrienne Jourgansen posted on internet that she was forced by Onision to have sex. Reacting to this, he called her a slut on YouTube. This controversy led to loss of around 24,000 subscribers.

He has been criticized for being judgmental on subjects like rape, depression, religion and suicide. Onision blames the abused victims for the crime inflicted on them and further says the cause of depression is the patient himself. In 2016, he had to apologize for his tweets after the death of YouTuber and singer Christina Grimmie questioning the presence and power of God.

Gregory Jackson was born in Washington on 11th November, 1985 .His parents got divorced when he was just 2. His father was accused of sexual crime against a minor. Onision’s father was abusive and used to beat him repeatedly. Once, he stabbed his father in self-defence and was sent to juvenile prison. Gregory has two sisters and he is very close to his mother who has appeared in many of his videos like ‘Ghosts Caught On Camera’.

He is married to YouTuber, Taylor Anderson (Laineybot). They have a baby boy named Troy.
