Olivia Holt

Olivia started out pretty young. At the age of 10, she was performing in local theatre productions and appearing in TV commercials for reputed toy companies like Bratz, Hasbro and Mattel. The talent agents were quick to notice the prodigious 12-year old, and the first feature film role came in the 2009 teen drama, 'Black and Blue'. Though the movie failed to make a mark, it proved to be an ideal launch pad for Olivia. Two years later, in 2011, came the Disney show 'Kickin' It'. The sitcom, which followed the lives of a martial arts instructor and his students, was a runaway hit, and Olivia (who played Kim in the series) became everybody's favourite overnight. Since then, Olivia hasn't looked back.

While her experience as a trained gymnast came in handy in her preparation for the role of Kim, it was Olivia's crooning skills that provided further impetus to her career - especially in the subsequent Disney productions that she appeared in. The 2012 musical fantasy teen comedy 'Girl vs. Monster' saw Olivia in a starring role as a monster hunter who sets out to rescue her parents from the monsters. Now, Disney starlets are notorious for overreaching themselves at times and foraying into the music industry in a bid to 'diversify' their resume. Most of these vanity projects are short-lived, since they are only decent singers at best and often lack what it takes to be the real deal. Olivia is perhaps an exception to the rule, for not only is she a talented actress, but a bona fide musician in the making who already has a few hits to her credit. Her debut EP, 'Olivia', was a hit and in November 2016, Olivia will be embarking on a cross-country 'Rise of a Phoenix' tour.

Mainstream stardom was bestowed upon Olivia at a very young age, but she has shown remarkable maturity in not letting the celebrity status get into her head. Following the break-up with her 'Girl vs. Monster' co-star Luke Benward, Olivia started dating Ray Kearin - a 20-year old from California who is yet to give in to the lure of entertainment industry despite his striking good looks. If their social media posts are anything to go by, the happy couple are very much in love and enjoy being in each other's company.

While not busy with her acting assignments or music tours, Olivia is all too happy to connect with her adolescent fans through her advice column in 'Tiger Beat' magazine, 'Hey, Olivia!' or moonlight as a radio jockey on her Radio Disney show, 'Olivia's Tour Diary'. Now, that sure tells you how multi-talented she is! But not all of this talent is cultivated, you know. Some of it is in the genes.
