Norman Reedus was born as Norman Mark Reedus on January 6, 1969 in Hollywood, Florida, USA, to parents Ira Norman Reedus and Marianne. In 1998, Reedus started dating model Helena Christensen. They had a son, Mingus Lucien Reedus, although they didn’t marry each other. In 2003, the couple broke up. Today, they share joint custody of their kid and have friendly relations.

Personal Life
After beginning his career as a model, Norman Reedus made his debut on the big screen in 1997, through the flick ‘Mimic’. He then appeared in the films ‘Six Ways to Sunday’, ‘Reach the Rock’, ‘Dark Harbor’ and ‘Davis Is Dead’. In 1999, he did the films ‘8MM’ and ‘The Boondock Saints’. Three years, later, the American actor was cast in three movies namely ‘Luster’, ‘Blade II’ and ‘Deuces Wild’. He then portrayed the character of Polizist Schmitz in the 2005 film ‘Antibodies’. After this movie, Reedus starred in several big screen projects including ‘American Gangster’, ‘Moscow Chill’, ‘Hero Wanted’, ‘The Notorious Bettie Page’, ‘A Crime’, ‘Killer Queen’, ‘Cadillac Records’, ‘Styrofoam Soul’, ‘The Chase’, ‘Messengers 2: The Scarecrow’ and ‘The Conspirator’. In 2011, he did the movie ‘Hello Herman’ which was followed by ‘Vacation’, ‘Air’ and ‘Sky’ four years later.

Film Career
Norman Reedus first appeared on television in 2003 in the series ‘Charmed’. After this, he appeared in another show ‘13 Graves’. In 2010, the actor started playing the role of Daryl Dixon on AMC’s TV series ‘The Walking Dead’. This series fetched him numerous awards: Satellite Award for Best Television Ensemble, IGN Award for Best TV Hero, IGN People's Choice Award for Best TV Hero and Fangoria Chainsaw Award for Best TV Supporting Actor. Then in 2016, Reedus was offered the reality TV show ‘Ride with Norman Reedus’. He has also done a handful of video game voiceovers.

Television Career
Reedus is also a sculptor, painter, and photographer and displays his artwork in galleries in New York City, Frankfurt, and Berlin. The multi-talented star released ‘The Sun's Coming Up... Like A Big Bald Head’, a book on photography, in 2013.
