Noah Schnapp was born on October 3, 2004, in New York City, to Karine Schnapp and Mitchell Schnapp. His father is of Russian Jewish ancestry while his mother is of Moroccan Jewish ancestry. He has a twin sister, Chloe, who is four minutes younger to him.
He demonstrated a penchant for acting right from his childhood and began performing from the age of six. His acting tutor encouraged him to hone his innate skills with earnestness so that he could become an accomplished actor.
The year 2015 proved to be hugely momentous for Noah as he made his big screen debut in that year by landing the role of Roger Donovan in the movie, ‘Bridge of Spies’, co-produced and directed by Steven Spielberg. Schnapp shared screen space with the celebrated actor ‘Tom Hanks’ in the movie.
In 2015, he was picked as the voiceover for Charlie Brown in the film, ‘The Peanuts Movie’. He also lent his voice to the same character in the video game version of ‘The Peanuts Movie’ titled ‘Snoopy’s Grand Adventure’ that was released in the same year.
However, his professional career received a shot in the arm in 2016 when he was selected as one of the members of the main cast for the Netflix’s horror sci-fi series, ‘Stranger Things’. The web series also features Winona Ryder, David Harbor, and Finn Wolfhard in the lead cast. He has appeared in all the episodes telecasted in 2016 (Season 1) and 2017 (Season 2).
He again served as a voice actor in 2016, this time lending his voice to Jay in ‘The Angry Birds Movie’. He featured in the short film, ‘The Circle’ (2016) and was also cast in the music video of the song, “LA Devotee”
He portrayed the character of Otis Copeland in the movie, ‘We Only Know So Much’. He will also be seen in the movies ‘Intensive Care’ (2018) and ‘Abe’ (2018).
