Nicole Guerriero

Nicole Guerriero was born on March 4, 1986 in Tampa, Florida. She later relocated to California to move in with her boyfriend, Jeremy Keating. She’s a self-taught makeup artist; she pursued Cosmetology for two years in Dixie Collins High school, but they didn’t teach much there. She started putting on makeup when she was 16 and always received compliments about her hair and makeup. Her friends even used to ask her to do their makeup for them.

Due to the encouragement and support of her family and friends, she started making videos of hairstyle and makeup tutorials and posted them on YouTube. It took her almost a year to garner attention and today she has nearly three million subscribers to her channel! Her videos are characterised by informative tips and tricks, and her informal manner of speaking. When you watch her videos, you immediately feel like she’s one of us, struggling with our own makeup and hair on a daily basis! Before becoming a full-fledged YouTuber, Guerriero had worked at several restaurants and also as a bartender at BJ’s Brewhouse for five years.

Nicole Guerriero had been interested in makeup ever since her childhood. Her mother wouldn’t let her touch any products till she was sixteen years old, and once she attained this age, there was no stopping her! As an eager beginner, she used to try and put everything on her face but later on, her personal style evolved into natural glam. Her hairstyle and makeup was always immaculate and even her friends would love it when she did their hair and makeup for them. This was when she started watching videos of other girls doing the exact same thing and she wanted to try her hand at it in a more creative way.

She started posting videos in 2010, all the while working at a number of restaurants. She also worked as a bartender at BJ’s Brewhouse for five years. Her first video was an ‘Elf’ haul, which according to her, is an easy video to shoot and also you get to buy new stuff! This was followed by many other videos. Guerriero almost stopped making videos after a point since she was not getting many followers, but then, her luck turned and she hit 40,000 subscribers. Motivated, she continued making videos and there has been no looking back since then!

One of her favourite videos is the one where her boyfriend, Jeremy, does her makeup. She says that they had a lot of fun filming for that video. In 2013, Guerriero was voted as the, ‘Favourite YouTube Beauty Guru’ on Ryan Seacrest’s website, which was quite an achievement as she was up against some of the best names in the business. One of her videos that garnered a lot of attention was the, ‘Kylie Jenner Inspired Makeup’ video, which she published in the year 2014.
