Nicola Peltz

Nicola Peltz enjoyed a high-class upbringing, studying in the most upscale private academic institutions in New York City. She has a mixed ancestry and her ethnicity is white. Her father is of Austro-Russian Jewish descent, and her mother has English, Welsh, German, and Italian ancestory.

Nicola Peltz, who is Jewish by faith is unmarried, and loves travelling. She was rumored to be dating the renowned Canadian singer, Justin Bieber a few years ago. Since 2016, she is in a relationship with the American small screen actor and fashion model, Anwar Hadid.

Nicola Peltz was born on 9 January 1995, in Westchester County, New York, to Nelson Peltz and Claudia Heffner Peltz. Her father, Nelson Peltz is a billionaire businessman and was an erstwhile owner of ‘Snapple’—a beverages firm—while her mother was a model.

Nicola has a total of seven siblings; one sister and four brothers older than her, and two brothers younger to her. One of her brothers, Will Peltz is an actor while another, Brad Peltz is an ice-hockey player. She has two step-siblings as well by virtue of his father’s earlier marriages.

She attended private schools in New York City and hired an entertainment industry agent by the time she was 12. Her agent helped her to find a part in the drama, ‘Blackbird’ produced by Manhattan Theater Club where she shared the stage with Alison Phil and Jeff Daniels, in 2007.

Scripted by David Harrower, and directed by Joe Mantello, ‘Blackbird’ won the Laurence Olivier Award for ‘Best New Play’ in 2007 and was also nominated for several other awards.

In 2006, Nicola Petz made her silver screen debut in ‘Deck the Halls’ a Yuletide comedy film, starring as Mackenzie alongside Danny DeVito, Kristin Chenoweth, and Matthew Broderick.

In 2008, she portrayed Becki in the comedy film, ‘Harold’ that also featured Cuba Gooding Jr., Spencer Breslin, Nikki Blonsky, and Ally Sheedy.

She appeared in a cameo in a Miley Cyrus music video for the single, “7 Things”, in June 2008.

In 2010, she was cast as Katara in the fantasy adventure movie, ‘The Last Airbender’ directed and co-produced by Manoj Night Shyamalan. The Last Airbender’ was adapted from an eponymous animation series which aired on ‘Nickelodeon’. Nicole achieved fame and recognition for her performance in the movie.

Starting from 2013 till 2015, Nicole reprised the character of Bradley Martin, a distressed high school student in a total of 14 episodes of the thriller drama series ‘Bates Motel’. ’Bates Motel’ TV series was a remake of and prequel to the horror thriller, ‘Psycho’ directed and produced by Alfred Hitchcock in 1960.

In 2011, she was nominated for the Worst Supporting Actress in Golden Rspberry Awards and for Breakthrough Actress in Young Hollyword Award for the movie 'The Last Airbender'.

In 2014, she won the CinemaCon Award for the Rising Star category for the movie Transformers: Age of Extinction. She was nominated for Teen Choice Award in the category 'Choice Movie: Breakout Star'.

In 2015, she was once again nominated for Golden Raspberry Award in the category - Worst Supporting Actress for the movie ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction.’
