Nick Robinson was born on 22 March 1995, in Seattle, Washington, to Michael Robinson and Denise Podnar. He is the eldest of the five children of his parents and and also has two older stepsiblings. He graduated from Campbell Hall School in 2013.
Nick, who is estimated to be worth about $3.5million, is presently dating actress Chloe Grace Moretz.
Nick was a just a 9-year old boy when his parents got him admitted in Broadway Boun’—a neighborhood theater group for kids. He debuted as a professional actor at the age of 11, when he performed in a theatrical adaptation of the novel ‘A Christmas Carol’ penned by Charles Dickens. In 2008, a theater colleague recommended Michael and Denise, Nick’s parents, to schedule a rendezvous with Matt Casella, an eminent talent scout for Hollywood.
Matt was of the opinion that Nick was an extraordinarily talented youngster with a gentle disposition and had it in him to succeed in tinsel-town. Matt referred Nick to some agencies and The Savage Agency ultimately signed him up. However, Robinson was unable to make the most of his registration with the agency owing to the strike called by the ‘Writers Guild of America’ in 2007–2008.
Left with no other option, he came back to Seattle with his parents, and resumed his stage performances in the city. In 2009, he was selected to play the part of Ryder Scanlon in the family sitcom series ‘Melissa & Joey’. As Ryder Scanlon, Nick Robinson acted as a nephew of Melissa and performed this role till the show’s conclusion in 2015.
In 2011, during a lull in the filming of ‘Melissa & Joey’, Nick started shooting for Disney’s film ‘Frenemies’ where he portrayed the character of Jake Logan. Nick played the protagonist Joe Toy in the film ‘The Kings of Summer’ (2012). He made a guest appearance as Rowland Smith in the 3rd season of the film series ‘Boardwalk Empire’ produced by HBO.
Nick also featured in a succession of television advertisements for promoting ‘Buffer Time is Bonding Time’ endorsed by ‘Cox Communications’ in the summer of 2012. Towards the latter part of 2013, Nick was selected as a cast member for ‘Jurassic World’ which was the 4th part of the epic movie series ‘Jurassic Park’. The movie was released in 2015.
