Neve Campbell

In April 1995, Neve Campbell married actor Jeff Colt whom she had first met at Toronto's Pantages Theatre. In May 1998, the couple got divorced.

In 2005, Campbell started dating actor John Light. Two years later, she got married to him in Malibu, California. The couple was together for five years before separating in June 2010.

She later began a relationship with actor JJ Field. In 2012, the couple confirmed that they were about to become parents. A son, Caspian, was born to them in August that year.

Neve Campbell was born on October 3, 1973 in Ontario. Her mother Marnie is a psychologist and yoga instructor from Amsterdam. She also had been an HIV/AIDS counselor and educator. Her British father Gerry, who immigrated to Canada from Glasgow, Scotland, taught high school drama classes in Ontario.

She has three brothers: Damian, Alex, and Christian. Her parents separated when she was aged two.

Her maternal grandparents ran a theater corporation in Netherlands. Campbell’s paternal grandparents were also actors.

Campbell enrolled at Erinvale School of Dance where she learned ballet. Later on, she attended the National Ballet School of Canada. There she appeared in performances of ‘Sleeping Beauty’ and ‘The Nutcracker.’

After suffering from many dance-related injuries, she turned to acting at the age of 15 after which she performed in ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ at Canon Theatre (Toronto) while attending the John F. Ross Collegiate Vocational Institute.

In 1991, Neve Campbell appeared in a commercial for Coca-Cola and promoted the company during the ‘Waking Up the Nation Tour’ by Bryan Adams.

She then starred as Daisy in the Canadian series ‘Catwalk’. This was followed by her performance in the short film ‘The Passion of John Ruskin’ and the TV films ‘I Know My Son is Alive’ and ‘The Forget-Me-Not Murders’.

Then the actress was cast as Julia Salinger in the drama series ‘Party of Five’. Soon after this, she appeared in an episode of ‘MADtv’.

In 1996, Campbell was given the role of Bonnie Harper in the movie ‘The Craft’. That year, she also performed as Sidney Prescott in the flick ‘Scream’. The following year, she did ‘Scream 2’ and appeared in an episode of ‘Saturday Night Live’ as a host.

The Canadian star was cast in the movies ‘Wild Things’, ‘54’ and ‘Hairshirt’ in 1998. The same year, she also lent her voice to the character of Kiara in the animated film ‘The Lion King II: Simba's Pride’.

In 1996, Neve Campbell did the television film ‘The Canterville Ghost’ in which she appeared as Virginia Otis. The family drama fantasy movie was much appreciated by the critics and nominated for several awards.

In 2016, she began starring as LeAnn Harvey in the Netflix TV drama ‘House Of Cards’. The character she played was a political consultant. The thriller series received positive reviews and several award nominations.
